During its early trek across the universe, it wiped out the original Kastro’vaal race by removing them from time. It is an energy being that merged with Earth's oceans before its imprisonment by the wizard Zhaal. It was bound for another billion years in events peripherally involving John and Mercury as well as the Great Old One Cthulhu that is its enemy. Yith: See Great Race of Yith.
Zum-Trivalis: The Great Old One spoken of in the Prophecies of the Rat God and De Vermis Mysteriis. Zum-Trivalis is the Lord of Vermin and the titular Rat God. It is a greater servitor of Hastur and apparently the result of a planet sacrificing itself in a mass suicide to it. It is worshiped by the Faceless Ones and intelligent rats as well as some Mi-Go.
Zoog: A Dreamlands race that is the biological enemy of cats and was exterminated in the City by a conspiracy between the city's felines working with the Knights of Arkham. They appear as humanoid lemur, bat, and other things. It is difficult to say if they are naturally creatures of the Dreamlands or an alien race that immigrated to it. They prefer preying on young cats as well as infants or small humans.
