Return to Revein'sev, page 30
The driver exited and opened the rear door where President Roberts exited. Alone, he nodded to his secret service that this meeting with the Ambassador was private and he would be fine inside.”
The secret service officers protested, but the President insisted they all wait outside. Then, he turned and briskly walked up the walkway and into the large foyer. Two nine-foot tall Antarian guards pulled open the Twelve-foot-tall, ornately decorated, double doors where the President was ushered inside. Another Antarian walked with the President, escorting him to the meeting room where Thelix was waiting.
As the President entered the room, he extended his hand to greet the tall Antarian, “Ambassador Thelix. It is my pleasure to meet with you here today. I’m looking forward to Admiral Gilmore’s arrival,” pausing, the President continued under his breath, “I think he should be given a medal.”
Thelix reached out to take the President’s offering. Instead, he grabbed his wrist and slammed a pair of handcuffs on him and returned a wide smile.
“Hey!” President Roberts protested, “What’s this all about?!”
“I am most sorry, President Roberts,” Thelix smiled as Roberts attempted to struggled away from his grip, “This meeting you came for is not what it seems.”
“Apparently! What the hell’s going on!” Roberts demanded.
“You see, it is not the Admiral you think that is here to meet with you.”
“What are you talking about?”
Admiral Fitz walked into the room with Skatie close to his side, “Hi Terry. How’s the wife and kids?”
“Fitz! What are you doing here? I thought you were killed! Where’s Gilmore?!”
“It was a mind trick, complements of Malcom. You remember, Malcom, don’t you Mister President?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about?”
“Admiral Gilmore was killed in battle by Emperor Akua and Chancellor Relegon. I will say, it wasn’t by my hand. However, I did partake in assisting; but I digress.”
“What’s this about, Fitz?”
“I have an arrest warrant for you, Mister President.”
“You can’t arrest me!?” Roberts shouted.
“Oh, yes, I can and I am. You see, I have all the evidence to convict you and send you to the firing squad. Video, texts, you name it. It’s all there. Evidence that you planned Admiral Gilmore’s escape. We also have conversations between you and Gilmore about the hit to kill me and the crew of the Rocinante, as compensation for Gilmore’s release and to keep Gilmore in power. All to keep the war machine going for personnel profit and political gain.”
“You can’t be serious, Fitz!”
“He is very serious, Mister President,” Skatie nodded, “I’ve seen it all and it’s very damming. If I were you, I’d plead guilty. Maybe they’d spare you the firing squad?”
“Fitz!”
“Mister Thelix,” Jed began, “Take him away. By the way, since this arrest occurred on Antarian grounds and the fact that the war is all about wiping out our Antarian friends, here, you’ll be staying put at this facility; in a cell.”
Two Antarian guards approached, took the President by the shoulders and forced him along with them.
Thelix turned after watching the two guards remove the President from the room and on his way to his cell. Then, faced Jed and Skatie.
“Thank you again, Mister Thelix,” Jed said, extending his hand.
“You are quite welcome, Admiral,” Thelix took Jed’s hand and shook. “You are quite welcome. President Roberts should not remain in power. He is vile and corrupt.”
“You’ve not met many politicians, have you?” Jed asked.
“No, I have not.”
“Well, there ya’ go,” Jed smiled, “Most are vile and corrupt. That about sums them up.”
“So, now that the President has been removed from power. What are your plans?”
“Oh, I think since I’m an Admiral and that transport pilot is a Captain, I’m going to appropriate their ship. Skatie and I are going sightseeing.”
“Oh, I want to go camping,” said Skatie.
“Camping?” Jed asked.
“Yes. I’ve read and looked over the information regarding this leisure activity and I think I want to go camping in the Mountains of the Pacific Northwest.”
“Well, the Cascades up there are said to be the most beautiful places on Earth to see.”
“Well, what are we waiting for?”
Jed paused, and then asked, “Are you sure you don’t want to go see the Grand Canyon?”
“Why would I want to see a large hole in the ground?”
“Okay, camping in the Pacific Northwest is it.”
The two thanked Thelix once again before leaving hand in hand toward the transport.

Darnash flew the Antarian transport close to the ground before swooping upward, then banking hard right, allowed his passengers a good viewpoint.
“How about down there,” Ruki pointed out the port transport window, “I think that would be a great place.”
“I do believe you are correct, Ruki,” Danielle offered.
“I shall set us down here, then,” said Darnash as he manipulated the flight controls.
Coming down low, he extended the landing gear and slowed the ship with thrusters before setting down in the open field.
The turbines spun down as he powered down the engines. Then, he pressed another command, opening the side hatch to the transport before lowering the cargo bay ramp.
“The best is still sleeping, Darnash,” Ruki advised, “But its starting to come around, now that we’ve landed.”
Darnash unbuckled his harness and slid the pilot seat back away from the controls. Then, he climbed from the pilot house and joined Danielle and Ruki outside at the cargo ramp, “We can offload the cage and then set the creature free.”
“And hope that it doesn’t try to kill us in the meantime,” Danielle nervously said.
“We can only hope that the creature understands that we offer its freedom,” Darnash added.
The three carefully moved the crate from the transport and moved it several yards from the cargo bay.
“This looks like a good spot,” said Ruki.
“Yes, this will do nicely,” Danielle added.
“Okay, everyone, stand back and I shall unlock the cage and lift the door,” Darnash warned.
Darnash unlocked the cage and using the pull chain, lifted the door open. The creature sniffed the air as puffs of smoke exited its nostrils before it cautiously moved its head out from inside the cage.
The three retreated a few feet away to give the dragon some space as its front legs slowly moved forward and its muscular back legs pushed its body halfway from the cage.
Stopping, the dragon inspected its surroundings by moving its head from side to side and taking in large breaths of Serintin’s intoxicating air. Feeling more at ease with its new surroundings, the dragon moved out of the cage and extended its large wings outward from being neatly tucked close to its body. The dragon turned on all fours and stood facing the three before it lifted its head high into the air, letting out a loud roar before it shot flames high above its head.
Then, the creature lowered its head and shook it from side to side, flopping its ears before it nodded, as it was giving thanks to the three for setting it free. The dragon turned once more away from the three and began flapping its wings. Once, twice and then three times before the beast rose from the ground and headed off toward the trenches of Serintin.
The three grew tears at the sight of the creature’s freedom as they watched the creature gracefully beating its wings and flying away from them.
“This creature will live out its life here on this moon,” Darnash nodded.
“It will have a good life, Darnash,” Ruki added.
“It is a wonderful sight, seeing this dragon being set free on this third moon of the fourth plant, Lebencha,” Danielle said before she set her hand on Darnash’s shoulder, “C’mon, let’s head to the palace.”
The three turned from the sight of the dragon flying further away, diminishing in size. Sealing the ship’s cargo ramp and side hatch, Darnash took the controls on the transport, lifted off and with a slight dip of the ship’s nose, took off and headed to the Palace.

The Norlock leaned against a rock, still dressed in his green suit. He chewed on a weed as Race’s apparition appeared. The Norlock smiled and nodded with his presence.
“Hello, Mister Norlock,” said Race.
“What brings you here to speak with me? The need to speak with me has brought you here?”
“Yeah, It’s very quiet around here.”
“There are more things going on around you. More things go on. You must stop and listen with your eyes and see with your ears, of the things you cannot listen to or see. But if you speak to me, you will see, that there are many things you really can see.”
Race stopped and closed his non-corporeal eyes and listened closely at anything moving around him.
“Understand you do not, for you are still listening with ears and seeing with eyes, of the things you should see, but cannot.”
“So, what you’re really trying to tell me is to think outside of my old physical thinking and use my new spiritual essence to see and hear with my ears and eyes.”
“You are discovering a truth. A truth you have discovered.”
“So, since I’m no longer physical, even though my mind still craves those things of the physical, I can never have them again. However,” Race continued, holding his ghostly index finger in the air, “Since I’m now non-corporeal and existing within Revein’sev, I can do anything that simulates my old physical body.”
“Most correct again, again you have stated a truth.”
“So, if my old physical essence misses Ruki, I can make a way to commune. A way to simulate my being with her again. At least until she’s ready to travel to Revein’sev and join me here forever and a Ma’Nuta’Dii.”
The Norlock chuckled and nodded, “Yes, commune you can do. You can commune with the one you were connected with. Your blood of your old physical and the blood of her physical; they will always be together as one. You need to learn how and you will quickly understand that the one you shared the Kron’Shulooka together with, will always be there with you, weather here or there; it matters not.”
“Well, thank you, Mister Norlock,” Race smiled, “You’ve been very helpful. Now, I will go and try these things you have told me I can do.”
“Very well, Chosen One. I will be here for you, whenever you need more instructions. If more instructions you need, I will be here.”
Race’s image faded from the Norlock, who then turned back to doing what he was doing before, which was simply chewing on a weed.

Ruki sat quietly on the ledge over a red bubbling lake of lava. With closed eyes, she absorbed the aura of candles lit all around her. The largest eight-inch candle glowed; it’s flickering light dimly leaking under her eyelids.
She focused on her true love for Race and where he was. She wanted to be with him and if dying was the only way, so be it.
She grabbed a pinch of Dimeatarian dust and sprinkled it before her, breathing some of it in and letting some sprinkle down into the wax of her burning candle.
After taking in two more measures of dust, she slowly opened her eyes. she wrapped both of her hands around the candle before her, held it before her eyes and watched the melting patterns turn into Antarian words.
Slowly and with a quiet rumbling voice, she chanted, “Ka’ mi’ cepot’ dum’anog duma’nog… ka’ mi’ cepot’ dum’anog duma’nog… duma’nog… duma’nog…”
After several minutes of holding the flame of the burning candle to her eyes, she began to see an image of Race standing before her. Her eyes shot wide open and she lowered the candle slightly. He was barely shy of eight-feet tall and appeared more Antarian than ever.
The lump stuck in her throat made it difficult to speak, but she managed to call out, “Race… It is I, Ruki…” her voice cracked as she began once more, “I will come to you, my Race… if where Revein’sev you are, then I shall go too…”
Race held out his hands and held Ruki’s around the candle that burned, illuminating his face, “Yes, my Ruki it is I, Race. I have learned how to commune with you. But my Ruki, it is not your time to travel to Revein’sev—no, not yet.”
“Race? Is that really you?”
“Yes, my Ruki. It is. I am only but a spirit being. But the Norlock has taught me how to see with my ears and hear with my eyes. I am outside of my old physical body, but my essence desires to commune with you. So, I have come to you today, through this ritual you can call me to be with you. You can be with me, anytime you need, because our blood bonded with the Kron’Shulooka. I will always be with you and you with me, whether it is here or it is there. Like the Norlock told me, it matters not, as long as we desire to be together, we will be.”
A tear welled up and fell down Ruki’s cheek. Race took a hand and gently pressed his thumb to her cheek and lifted the tear. Then, he held it to his lips and smiled, “Hmm, salty… hey, whattya know, I can still taste.”
Ruki started laughing with joy, first. Then, Race joined in and they embraced.
“I love you, my Ruki. Know, that I always will be with you.”

Epsilon Eridani
________________________
Five Eridonian leaders had gathered in the center of a courtyard, in the center of the continent which was centered on the equator of Epsilon prime.
Shadows were cast from the towering spires surrounding the courtyard, once again gathered at this Eridonian most sacred meeting place.
A slight nodding motion from each Eridonian was the only visual clue to their communications.
Here we are, once again, Malcom’s thoughts passed into each mind present in the courtyard.
Yes, Malcom, Eridonian’s pro-council answered, we understand they we were successful in preventing the destruction of the Antarians.
Yes, pro-council, Malcom nodded, we have prevented the Truven from becoming the new Warlords of the Galaxy. Though, Boldmane survived, we believe he will not pose any threat in the future. He has learned survival is more valuable than revenge.
Yes, this is a very interesting development, The pro-council nodded, then telepathically continued, we feel that Race Jennings’ sacrifice in bringing balance to our universe is the cause for the change we feel in the Truven.
We agree, pro-council, Artemis added, Race’s sacrifice has served in a multitude in ways. Such as the Theta Centaurians settling their difference with the Kappa Centaurians.
Exactly, the pro-council continued, and their new alliance with the Sigma Draconians. Together with the Antarians, they all will rebuild their worlds as a combined effort, ensuring peace will continue in this galaxy for quite some time.
“Well, all’s well that ends well, it would appear, Malcom said.
Yes, Malcom, Artemis nodded in agreement, all’s well that ends well; true indeed.
Come, Artemis, Malcom glanced up to the pro-council before turning and joining arm and arm, we shall take our leave.
The two walked along the shadows that the towering pillars cast upon the ground, disappearing from the sacred ground, leaving Epsilon for their next adventure.
