  Terms

  True fae- immensely powerful beings from another realm who created our universe

  Higher fae- beings made from fragments of the true fae tasked with maintaining the order of the world

  Halflings- half-human, half-fae

  Fae- true fae, higher fae, and halflings

  Eternal Summer- the city ruled by Marduke

  Eternal Spring- the city ruled by Roan

  The Eternal Flame- a fire composed of the power House Storm. It burns forever, even without fuel

  The Broken Throne- the shattered throne of Doyle after the fight between him and Roan

  Sleeping Moon- another name for the full moon. Refers to the drowsiness that comes over the higher fae on such nights

  Waking Moon- another name for the new moon. Refers to how higher fae awaken from their slumbers on nights of the new moon

  Newling- a term for newly turned vampires

  Wolfsbane- a plant with a powerful smell. Inhaling it prevents changers from tracking a scent
