Shadow II

Shadow II

B.A. Savage

B.A. Savage

After dealing with her former employees, the Katsuya Corporation, Shadow decides to deal with other parts of her past; her abusive father, her displaced caring mother, and younger brother she has never met. Unfortunately, her plans are interrupted by a creature whose killing spree’s pace has increased. With assistance from Archan and Century, she hopes to finally get her stolen life back. One should always have a noble reason for doing something. We are a nation of suers, and the "injured" party never says they're suing to get a lot of money, even though that's exactly why they're doing it. Rather, they always say they're suing so that nobody else will have to go through what they went through. The standard form is "so that nothing like this will ever happen again". That sounds pretty noble, so that's why I wrote this book... so that nothing like this will ever happen again!

Shadow

Shadow

B.A. Savage

Shadow is the second story in the 14 story McLaughlin City Series. A genetically engineered assassin resurfaces after a 7 year disappearance and is killing off her former employees one by one. This is shortly after her return from the tomb (the first book in the series)."Daniel Deronda", George Eliot's last, great novel, was highly acclaimed on its first publication in 1876. It tells the intertwining stories of two young people seeking their paths in life: the beautiful Gwendolen Harleth, and Daniel Deronda, whose parentage is a mystery to him. The work of an authoress at the height of her powers, it is, however, much less widely read nowadays than its predecessor "Middlemarch" - partly due to its extreme length and density. This abridgement shortens the book to about 60 per cent of its original length, whilst being careful to retain its character and all elements of the plot. It aims to make this important and insightful novel more accessible to today's general reader.
